What We Treat
Tailbone Pain
Tailbone pain, also known as coccydynia, can be caused by a variety of factors, including injury, childbirth, and poor posture.
Pelvic floor therapy can be effective in reducing tailbone pain by addressing any underlying issues with the pelvic floor muscles that may be contributing to the discomfort. The pelvic floor muscles are connected to the tailbone, or coccyx, and help to support the area. When these muscles are weak, tight, or dysfunctional, it can lead to tension and pain in the tailbone region.
Pelvic floor therapy can help to decrease tension, increase flexibility, and improve the strength and coordination of these muscles, which can in turn help to reduce tailbone pain.
